Willamette Valley Wine Country Tour

 Join Mark, his wife Isabel & daughter Tiffany on our third tour of Oregon’s Willamette Valley wine country. We will be staying in the beautiful Setting Inn in the heart of the Willamette Valley, a lush valley of rolling hills and vineyards an hour southwest of Portland and 45 minutes from the coast. The Willamette Valley was Wine Enthusiast’s 2016 Wine Region of the Year. More than 700 vineyards and 530 producers are spread among the Valley’s six American Viticultural Areas, best known for its impeccable Pinot Noirs and Rosé, the diverse region also offers many other varietals, as well as local craft beers and ciders.

Mark and family spent the month of July, 2020 in this region for the first time and were so impressed by the wines, the landscape, the restaurants, the friendly people and the whole experience, they not only wanted to return as soon as possible, (which they did) but also wanted to share this hidden gem with all of you by creating this new Candelaria Design Tour!

Proposed Itinerary

Thursday : Fly to Portland, Oregon early afternoon (commercial economy airfare included, upgrades available). Pick up rental cars (one car per two couples) at airport and drive 1 hour southwest to wine country. Check into The Setting Inn late afternoon and at sunset we will enjoy a fabulous 3-course “Flavors of Oregon” dinner at Tina's in Dundee.

Friday : Today begins with a full breakfast buffet at the Inn served from 9-10am. At noon we have our first winery visit, we will walk through the vineyards at award-winning Alexana Winery and enjoy a wine tasting. For dinner, we will enjoy a 3-course meal at the newly opened, highly-acclaimed Brick Hall restaurant.

Saturday : After our daily breakfast, we will get dressed up for a private Member’s Tour and Tasting at Domaine Serene. After our afternoon at the lovely vineyard, we can stay longer for more wine and oysters or retreat back to the Inn. That evening, an amazing, authentic Italian feast at Rosmarino Osteria awaits!

Sunday : After our daily breakfast, option to relax or hike nearby Miller Woods with Mark & Tiffany. This afternoon we will join the Summer Picnic Party at Stoller Family Estates. After a refresh back at the Inn, we will enjoy a private wine tasting at Flâneur Winery. After our tasting in their beautiful vineyard barn we will enjoy a delicious dinner in Carlton at The Blind Pig.

Monday : After breakfast and a leisurely morning, we will explore Durant at Red Ridge Farms with a private guided tour of a traditional Olive Mill & walk through their olive groves. After the tour we will enjoy a private wine and olive oil tasting with paired bites. This evening we’ll enjoy a fun evening in McMinnville and a Spanish dinner at La Rambla.

Tuesday : Leisurely morning, check out of hotel, drive to Portland airport, return rental cars and fly to Phoenix.
